With 50 years of experience in the transportation industry Bill Walsh has a wealth of expertise and knowledge in logistics and supply chain management. He began his career in transportation with Dearborn’s Motor Express, a company he owned and operated. Dearborn’s was a common carrier servicing New England with truckload and ltl services. From Dearborn’s Bill moved on to Trailer Train where he extensively learned railroad operations, negotiating rail contracts on behalf of several high profile clients.
After finishing his time with Trailer Train Bill “came home” to open Universal Forwarding Co, a company now owned by his daughter. From Universal Forwarding, Walsh Transportation Group was formed as a parent company, and WTG Logistics was born. Bill took that company from a start up to a 3PL with ninety million dollars in revenue before selling it to one of the largest brokerage companies in the United States.
Wanting to remain active in the industry that has served him so well throughout his career Bill opened up DMX Logistics, a 3PL company headquartered in Exeter, NH and offices in Idaho, Oregon and Georgia. He has assembled an experienced group of transportation and logistics veterans all of whom he has worked with through the years. While DMX Logistics may be a “new” company it has the experience of a company that has been around for the last three to four decades.
Finally, what’s in a name some people ask? Well, with DMX, Bill dug into his roots and reinvented his first company – Dearborn’s Motor Express – hence DMX Logistics. Bill is a graduate of Boston University and currently sits on the board of New Hampshire Motor Trans, and was previously on the board of Exeter Banking, Inc.
