DMX Logistics and its partner MR Heavy Haul just got back from CONEXPO in Las Vegas. For five days the world’s construction, trucking, railroad, and technology manufacturers and innovators converged in Las Vegas for a show that certainly impressed. CONEXPO is held every three years in Las Vegas to roll out the “latest and greatest” equipment, technology and innovations in the heavy equipment world. Spread out over three outdoor lots and nine exhibition halls we saw some incredible machinery and technology during our time there. Averaging six to seven miles of walking each day, we met with some of our current customers while meeting new ones as well.
Some of the highlights included the unveiling of the first 3D printed, fully functional, steel large-scale excavator. We also saw a self-driving 3D printed jobsite vehicle equipped with drone technology. Also exhibited on the technology front were wearable technology and on-demand data analytics to increase safety and efficiency as well as robotics designed to reduce injury.. With manufacturers like Volvo, Hyundai, Leibherr, John Deere, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Freightliner and Peterbilt, we saw the newest products from rock crushers, paving machines, tires and axles, bulldozers, loaders, excavators and large-scale cranes.
