Louisville, Kentucky

DMX Logistics and partner MR Heavy Haul just got back from a trip to Louisville, KY visiting clients.  We were invited to stay and enjoy Thunder over Louisville – a yearly weekend celebration that includes an extensive Air Show and fireworks display.  Louisville is a beautiful waterfront city, home to notable companies like Louisville Slugger and a whole bunch of bourbon!  We can’t wait to get back there next time for the Kentucky Derby!

Check out some of our pictures taken during the trip.  You’ll note the current picture of Whiskey Row set against a picture of days gone by.  Whiskey Row is a block long stretch of buildings built between 1850 and the early 1900’s that once served as home to the bourbon industry.  The buildings have been converted to some shops and mostly restaurants and pubs.  Each has preserved the history of the industry showing original brick work, hardwood flooring and barrels.  A fire partially destroyed three of the buildings and the pictures below show how they saved/preserved the building fronts as a historical landmark of Louisville.
